Terms and Conditions

1) Customer Requirements.

The customer identified in the rental agreement must comply with the following requirements at the

time of picking up the the vehicle:

  1. Be at least 25 years old at the time of vehicle pick-up.
  2. Present a valid driver’s license, suitable for driving the rented vehicle.
  3. Present a valid ID card. In the case of foreign customers, a valid passport or identification

document must be presented, together with an international driver’s license when applicable.

  1. Present a valid credit card to provide a security deposit ranging from CLP $850,000 to CLP

$2,000,000, depending on the vehicle model. The cardholder must be present at the time of pick-up

and must hold a valid driver’s license.

  1. All of the above documentation is mandatory regardless of the payment method used for the

reservation.

 

2) Online Reservations.

Reservations made through the official website www.traeger.cl must comply with the following:

– Reservations may be created by selecting the pick-up and drop-off date and time, starting from the

next calendar day and up to two years in advance.

– All information entered to create the reservation is the sole responsibility of the customer, as well as the payment method used, when applicable.

– Prepayment of reservations is made through the Webpay platform.

– Reservations no longer include CDW or LDW coverage automatically.

– Reservations can only be created and cancelled through the website; they cannot be modified.

– Cancelling a reservation implies the loss of the original time slot, which may no longer be

available if the customer attempts to make a new reservation.

– The customer will receive a copy of the rental agreement at the time of vehicle pick-up.

 

3) Refund Conditions for Prepaid Reservations.

To confirm a prepaid reservation, a deposit of 20% of the total rental amount must be made to the

following account:

– Current Account: 280-14659-00

– Bank: Banco de Chile

– Account Holder: Óscar Rolf Traeger Schwarz

– Tax ID (RUT): 7.166.836-3

Payment may also be made by credit card via WebPay at www.traeger.cl or via Western Union. A copy of

the payment receipt must be sent.

Cancellation penalties (applied to the refundable portion of the prepaid amount):

– At least 30 days before the start of the rental: 50% refund.

– From 29 to 15 days before the start of the rental: 80% refund.

– From 14 to 5 days before the start of the rental: 90% refund.

– Less than 5 days before the start of the rental: 100% refund.

– No-show: 100% refund.

The total rental amount is paid at the time of vehicle pick-up.

4) Reservation Duration

Traeger will hold the reserved vehicle category for up to two hours after the scheduled pick-up

time. For prepaid reservations, the holding period is extended up to four hours after the reserved

time.

Once these time limits have expired, the reservation will be cancelled. For prepaid reservations,

refunds will be processed according to the conditions set out above. Traeger guarantees the vehicle

category, but not a specific model, color, or brand. Traeger reserves the right to cancel a nonprepaid

reservation.

5) Rental Duration.

The minimum rental period is 24 hours, counted from the date and time of contract opening. An

additional grace period of 2 hours is granted for vehicle return at no extra charge. If this grace

period is exceeded, an additional rental day will be charged.

 

6) Vehicle Return Conditions.

The vehicle must be returned within the operating hours of the corresponding office. If the vehicle

is returned outside office hours, the total rental amount and any additional charges will be billed

directly to the customer’s final account.

It is the customer’s responsibility to visually inspect the exterior of the vehicle at both pick-up

and return, as all details, damages, dents, or other issues are recorded in the corresponding

inspection form, as well as all vehicle accessories.

 

7) Fuel.

The vehicle must be returned with the fuel tank at the same level as when it was delivered.

Otherwise, refueling will be charged at the per-liter rate indicated in the rental agreement.

 

8) Possible Additional Charges Associated with the Contract.

  1. Drop-off: An additional charge will apply if the vehicle is returned to a different office or

location from where it was picked up.

  1. Tag / Televía: An additional charge of CLP $30,000 plus VAT per rental day will apply.
  2. Airport surcharge: The amount will vary depending on the location of the airport.
  3. Delivery in another location: An additional charge will apply when delivery and/or return is

requested outside the branch, subject to prior coordination and availability.

  1. Loss of documentation: In case of loss of the vehicle’s documents, an additional charge of CLP

$50,000 plus VAT will apply.

  1. Deductible: In case of theft or rollover of the vehicle, the corresponding deductible will be

charged, as set forth in the terms and conditions of the rental contract.

 

9) Use of Vehicles Outside the National Territory.

Traeger allows border crossing into Argentina; however, the customer must notify this intention at

least 5 business days prior to the start of the rental. There is an associated cost for processing

permits and international insurance.

10) Additional Drivers

An additional daily charge will apply starting from the second additional driver. Each driver must

be duly informed and registered in the contract. All registered drivers must meet the minimum age

requirement and hold a valid driver’s license.

11) Closing of the Rental Contract

The rental contract will be closed once the vehicle has been physically returned and inspected at

any of our offices, where the fuel level and overall condition of the vehicle will be checked.

Additional charges may apply based on these items.

12) In Case of an Accident

In the event of any type of accident, the customer must immediately contact the emergency number +56 9 96406412 and send an email to contacto@traeger.cl with the following information (photocopies or photographs):

– Police report or record.

– Driver’s license of the driver.

– ID card or passport.

– Accurate description of the events leading to the incident.

The customer must report the incident immediately through Traeger Rent a Car’s emergency contact.



13) Maintenance or Mechanical Issues

If the rented vehicle is nearing its scheduled maintenance date or presents any malfunction during

use, the customer must promptly inform the branch associated with the vehicle to arrange its entry

into the workshop. Any intervention on the vehicle must be previously authorized by Traeger Rent a

Car.

14) Loss and Theft

Traeger Rent a Car is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings from inside its

vehicles, nor for items forgotten either in its branches or inside the rented vehicle.
